Who exactly is this weirdo?
Winston Bolen is a lot of things: Artist, IT Professional, Writer, Social Activist, Entertainer, Father, and Real Human Person...allegedly.
Winston has been an artist his whole life. In the early 2000s he found inspiration in creating Transformers fan art as part of a vibrant, diverse online community of fellow artistic geeky people. He taught himself many techniques from traditional inking to digital painting and rendering. He found his passion for art again!
After building an online following, this eventually led to him becoming a professional comic book artist. He has worked on the Transformers and G.I. Joe brands as a colorist and illustrator, and multiple indie projects. During this time he began working as a graphic designer, editor, and writer, even being published as a writer and photographer by the Associated Press.
He works in many mediums, from digital art to traditional oil and acrylic painting. He explores new ways of expressing his love of giant robots to Super Saiyans and everything else in between. Winston loves to create, be it pop culture art or soothing landscapes in the tradition of certain poofy haired wise men with their happy little trees.

Artist is just one hat Winston wears. He has spent 15 years working in tech. Trained in Cisco Networking, he has worked in IT escalations, software development/support, and project management. Winston is always looking for a good opportunity to bring his knowledge and skills to the right situation.
When not making art or working in tech, he is also an entertainer. For the last few years, he has worked with Bible Belt Burlesque out of Perry, Georgia, a rag tag crew of fun-loving, eclectic misfits. As the charismatic "Fox Smolder", he hosts with enthusiasm and humor, acts, sings, and even dances in the various shows the troupe performs in the Middle Georgia area.
